C (ASCP) Technologist in Chemistry

The C (ASCP) Technologist in Chemistry Exam is a 2-hour and 30-minute exam containing 100 multiple-choice questions. The questions are chosen according to a computer adaptive testing (CAT) method, which adjusts the type and difficulty of questions based on the test-taker’s performance, increasing the difficulty level until they answer incorrectly. The Technologist in Chemistry Exam’s five content areas are General Chemistry; Proteins and Enzymes; Special Chemistry; Laboratory Operations; and Acid-Base, Blood Gases and Electrolytes.
