TExES Core Subjects EC-6 – English Language Arts and Reading (901)

The TExES Core Subjects EC-6 (901) subtest assesses an examinee’s knowledge of literacy development and ability to develop communication skills. Test takers should be familiar with a wide array of teaching strategies and various forms of written works that will enhance a student’s reading comprehension, writing skills, and grammatical understanding. Candidates have up to 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete the exam. The test consists of 45 selected-response questions and is available as a computer-administered test (CAT).
